Visceral Manipulation (VM)
Visceral manipulation is the gentle practice of releasing fascial restrictions in your abdomen and pelvis encouraging the normal movement and function of your internal organs.
Strains in the connective tissue of the viscera (organs) can result from surgical scars adhesions, illness, poor posture or injury such as pregnancy, C-sections, or any jarring accident. These strains create fixed points of tension within the body eventually leading to chronic irritation which gives way to pain and disease.
The goal of Visceral manipulation is to help the body’s normal forces remove abnormal effects, whatever their sources. Those effects can be global, encompassing many areas of bodily function.
